Compassion Has No Borders

At Lucky Chi Dog Rescue, our motto is simple:

“Spay/Neuter, Vaccinate, Repeat”

However, this motto is just words until put into practice - so that is exactly what we did! Depicted above are our volunteers performing free spay/neuter events in Mexico. These quarterly events aim to prevent suffering where needed, specifically targeting lower income communities where we can actually see the demand simply by the amount of people who line up. We team up with local vets around these areas and work with what we have provided, which in some cases has consisted of ironing boards used as surgical tables.

The importance of these mass spay and neuter events can be seen in the numbers - as each event spay and neuters anywhere from 100-200 animals in one day. Along with spay/neuters, vaccinations are provided to the animals as well.

These events are truly what we here at Lucky Chi Dog Rescue are about. And as each event comes to a close, we return to the ranch feeling accomplished and ready to repeat the process over again.
